2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE250d recalled
Another Mercedes-Benz recall, this time impacting the brand's BMW X5 and Audi Q7 rival.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled GLE250d models built in May, June and July 2017, over concerns about the transmission oil lines.
According to the company, the car could suffer a drop in power because of oil loss within the transmission. There's a risk of fire if oil leaks onto hot exhaust components, while leaks onto the road create a greater risk of accident for other road users.
A total of 53 cars built between May 1, 2017 and July 21, 2017 are affected by the campaign. A VIN list is attached here.
Mercedes-Benz is asking owners to contact their nearest dealership for an inspection and repair.
