2015 Mercedes-Benz A-Class spied
Facelifted small car spotted testing in Europe.
The facelifted Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been spotted testing in Europe ahead of its global debut next year.
The updated model will bring some minor cosmetic updates – mostly limited to the front bumper, headlights and taillights – as well as engine upgrades when it lands in Australian showrooms in late 2015/early 2016.
The first prototype seen testing here is likely the A250 Sport, resplendent with the diamond-studded front grille and sportier running gear. It will likely carry-over with an existing 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 155kW and coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Mercedes-Benz is set to offer a slightly revised line-up of engines comprising both petrol and diesel derivatives. There are also murmurs that the update will coincide with a boost in power in the flagship A45 AMG, which already pumps out a manic 265kW from its four-cylinder engine.
The facelifted A-Class is set to debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2015, and will make its way to Australian showrooms thereafter.
