Sporty small hatch comparison : Mazda 3 v Ford Focus v Holden Cruze v Hyundai i30 v Nissan Pulsar

Almost anyone can throw on a pair of gym shorts and runners and look reasonably sporting in the checkout line at Coles, and the same is true with cars – the addition of alloy wheels, a spoiler and foglights can suddenly make your small hatchback look at least a bit athletic. As ever, though, it's the muscles beneath the clothes that counts...

Small Car Comparison : Toyota Corolla v Mazda 3 v Holden Cruze v Hyundai Elantra

Small sedans are generally not quite as popular as small hatchbacks in Australia. The newly released Toyota Corolla sedan is expected to snare only a 20 per cent share of the nameplate’s sales this year, while the Hyundai Elantra is outsold by its i30 sibling five-to-one...

Chevrolet Cruze RS hot hatch "absolutely" has potential

A sporty hot-hatch version of the all-new Chevrolet Cruze hatchback revealed at the 2016 Detroit auto show appears imminent. The new Cruze hatchback – which may or may not be sold in Australia – was shown in RS guise, but unlike Chevrolet’s arch-rival Ford, with its Focus RS, the bowtie version is more about looking sporty than offering enormous performance...

2010 Holden Cruze CD Review

Just reached 90,000 kms and transmission needs replacing. Spends more time in the workshop since 50,000kms on the clock. Should have been recalled as a dud and not allowed on the market. A waste of my money and time. Probably the reason Holden closing in Aus. It,s only good point is the comfortable drive and holds the road well...

2014 Holden Cruze SRI V Review

Very happy with my SRi-V. Now two years old and 32000k on clock and not one problem. Stunning roadholding with the 18x8 inch wheels and Bridgestone tyres. One interstate trip of 4000k and six others of 2000k ... a real pleasure. Good boot fits my wife's wheelchair with ease. Auto is smooth and intuitive. Do not understand the vitriol of people who have obviously not even driven one...

2015 Holden Cruze SRI V Review

Hard but responsive ride and corners really well whilst maintaining a very lateral position. Can't get the fuel consumption under 9lt per 100kms even though 70%+ of driving is up and the freeway. My average speed is 68km/hour. I'd love to hear from anyone who can get better than 9. My mother has a Cruze as well (but two years older, and her fuel consumption is at 9...

2015 Holden Cruze SRI V Review

I looked around at a new car to replace my Holden Commodore VT 1999 model, which I have since brand new. I looked at the Holden Cruze, Mazda 3 and the Nissan Pulsar. I took all three cars for a test drive. At the end of the day I was so impressed with the Holden Cruze SRI-V. The car has so much power for being a 1.6 Ltr Turbo. The interior has so much room in it...
