Video: 2013 BMW Project i Vision EfficientDynamics driving prototype

By Brett Davis |

Last week BMW announced it will be developing the Vision EfficientDynamics hybrid concept for market production. The company has now also released some video footage of the car up and running.

Showing just how serious it is about putting the concept into production, the BMW Project i has already been put into its first stages of road testing. It is scheduled to be in the showrooms by 2013. And if it looks as dramatic as the prototype below, we’re sure it’ll attract huge interest.

I wonder how it’ll handle on such skinny tyres, they must be taking the fuel efficiency aspect of this car pretty seriously. Ill be impressed if that design makes it to production, these concepts always get ‘rationalised’ beyond recognition (see suzuki kizashi)

i recall someone in BMW saying that the design is locked in,but the rest of the tech package is being tweaked.

Awesome design, killer tail lights, doors, mirrors and the BMW nostrils as aggressive as ever. No so sure about the drive train, seems very complex but BMW being the great engineers that they are will deliver.
