Pininfarina Spider, Bertone coupe Alfa Romeo sketches released

By Tim Beissmann |

Three Italian design studios plan to give Alfa Romeo a 100th birthday to remember, with Pininfarina, Bertone and ItalDesign all set to showcase brand new Alfa-based concepts at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Bertone has released a rough sketch of its coupe to whet the world’s appetite before its Swiss debut.

Bertone didn’t reveal much about its concept, but the sweeping new grille and LED-headlight combination, along with the thin detail lines and strong wheel arches, could hint at design aspects of the next-generation Brera.

Pininfarina is also celebrating its 80th birthday this year and its sketch of a two-seat Spider concept gives a strong indication of what to expect on the stand at Geneva.

Borrowing the alloys from the Alfa Romeo 8C Competzione, the Pininfarina concept has the combination of flowing curves and sharp lines of current models, but like the Bertone appears to promise a fresh take on the grille and front-end design.

ItalDesign is yet to reveal any details or sketches of its concept, but expect to hear or see something before the trio is unveiled on March 2.

Bit light on for detail. The top picture in particular. Will believe it when I see it. Like most Alfas can upgrade roadside assistance membership to Platinum Member level.

Doesn’t look too dissimilar to the BMW concept 2 posts before

First pic is very much like the Kia K9 concept…

Well as always we can count on beautiful cars with beautiful performance, but a bad fit interior and slightly low quality.
