Saab 9-5 SportCombi spy photos

By Matt Brogan |

Even if there is still no decision about what will happen to SAAB, for the test crew its still business as usual.

Our spy photographers today snapped some fresh images of the new 9-5 SportCombi winter testing in Sweden.

CarAdvice will keep you posted with developments on Saab’s future, and indeed that of the new 9-5 range, as they come to hand.

Now THAT would have to be the best looking SUV i have seen in some time. Anyone agree?

    • Me

It’s not an SUV its wagon.

Is it? Looks like one to me

    • D

It’s just a wagon, not an SUV

    • Deco

Its camo makes it look SUV-ish.

If SAAB is being shut down and the 9-5 not making it to production, why are they testing the wagon version of it? My guess is that GM has been telling the press that it is being winded down, to deter any buyers.

BTW, an SUV is a sport utility vehicle, and the SportCombi meets all those criteria. It’s more sporty than a tow-tonne 4WD that’s for sure.

Umm perhaps it’s warmer driving around in that test mule all day whilst waiting to find out if you have a job than it is waiting in the workshop :-p

What the hell is going on at Troll. Sweden?

They would not be building vehicles in 2010,like right now, as the tear-down-experts are already at work, yet they are still testing a vehicle thats not going to be built, or MAYBE will be built but wont have a SAAB badge on it [Some other GM brand logo?]

Would be MILES better than anything the Americans could engineer [oxymoron!]
