2017 Mitsubishi Triton GLS Sports Edition on sale
If you're onto a good thing, add some black styling stuff to it: that's the theme for the 2017 Mitsubishi Triton GLS Sports Edition.
The newly-added model is based upon the GLS dual-cab variant, but the Sports Edition model aims to "deliver a smart but tough on-and-off-roader".
Mitsubishi hasn't just added black bits – it gets a black grille, black sports bar, black 17-inch alloy wheels, a black rear step bumper, a black powder coated nudge-bar – there's also a rear diff lock, which, is usually exclusive to the Exceed flagship.
The Triton GLS Sports Edition also scores genuine accessories including a standard-fit tub-liner, soft tonneau cover, tow-bar, tinted bonnet protector, and carpet mats. There's a further Extreme accessory pack with snorkel, a colour-coded hard tonneau cover, along with Venom driving lights and harness.
There's a unique colour for the GLS Sports Edition, Starlight, in addition to Titanium grey and black. It's available to buy now, and compared with the standard GLS, the pricing is around $4500 higher (the GLS manual is $41,500 plus on-roads, and $44,000 for the auto).
2017 Mitsubishi Triton GLS Sports Edition pricing:
Six-speed manual 4WD – $45,990 plus on-road costs
