Definitely up for it, sick of waiting for a new Jimny model, let’s hope Ford bring it to Oz

yeah wish Toyota would import the Daihatsu Terios – i drive one when Im in Bali, its great fun… like a shrunken Rav4.

      • Toxic_horse

The jimny hasn’t changed in 20 years.

  • Damian

Looks like another winner for Ford!

  • Far Canal Racing

Do they do any color other than black?.
Not sure on all that Vinyl around it although it would make it easier to wash.

  • PhantomHamster

Do you know ( and this is true ) my mother ( shes 60 ) wanted to know where you could buy the black vinyl cos she wanted to put it on her 1992 Lancer – Im not sure whats more wrong – her still loving that old lancer or the fact she things its so precious she wants to cover it in black vinyl… *Shrug*

Bring it on FORD Australia. As Steve has mentioned above, I’m also sick of waiting for a new model Jimny. I wrote to Caradvice in 2006 (i think) for any info they had on the next model Jimny; >> fast-forward >> to 2011 and still nothing!
Come on Suzuki, looks like FORD might just beat you.

  • Road Warrior

Don’t tell me its going to have the macho spare tyre mounted to the tailgate…this is going to look silly on a Fiesta-sized SUV, it’s not a Landcruiser.

    • DLR1

I’d rather a full size spare on the tailgate, than a space saver, aerosol repair kit or complete lack of boot space. Its not a styling thing, its a matter of packaging.

Jimny has been cancelled. New safety laws mean suzuki are ditching it instead of redesigning the model to suit.

  • Tim Mason

Looks good, it’s the Hip height I will be interested in not the AWD .

  • PeterG

If all cars keep turning into SUVs there will come a time when they get even taller to out do each other and a step ladder will be required.
    Bring this trend to end!

  • Clueless

It looks like the Ford EcoSport, extremely popular in Latin America.
