Peugeot Australia "extremely happy" with sub-$45-$50k 308 GTi pricing

Despite pricing for the new Peugeot 308 GTi raising eyebrows when announced less than four weeks ago, the French brand's local distributor says the final figures are better than originally expected. Speaking to CarAdvice at this week’s Peugeot 308 GTi ‘preview’ drive in Sydney, the public relations and communications manager for Sime Darby Motors Group – Peugeot’s Australian distributor - Tyson Bowen, said the group is pleased with the two-model range's $44,990 to $49,990 pricing.

Holden adds Opel models : Astra hot-hatches and Insignia performance sedan confirmed alongside Cascada convertible

Holden has today announced it will add a number of new models to its line-up, including its own versions of the Opel Cascada, the Opel Astra GTC three-door, Opel Astra OPC hot-hatch and Opel Insignia OPC performance sedan. The new models will join the Holden line-up in 2015, though the Astra GTC and Astra VXR and Insignia VXR (formerly OPC) were previously sold in Australia by Opel before the German offshoot of General Motors pulled out of the Australian market in 2013.
