DS brand set to stay as part of Citroen in Australia for some time
The global move to separate French premium brand DS from its Citroen roots won’t be taken up in Australia for quite some time, it seems.
The DS brand was officially peeled away from Citroen at the 2015 Geneva motor show almost exactly a year ago, and while the newly-branded DS 5 luxury hatch (ie: not the Citroen DS5) has been launched here, it’s still being sold through Citroen dealers.
Citroen’s style-centric DS division is celebrating the 60
anniversary of the original DS with the introduction of the 1955 limited edition range.
The DS 1955 special edition cars will debut at DS Week, which kicks off in Paris tomorrow.
The special editions will be available across the DS line-up, with the French car maker building 1955 DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio city cars, 955 DS 4 hatchbacks, and 955 DS 5 saloons.
