2016 Fiat Ducato LWB/mid Review
One problem with the 2013 Ducato was the rear door stays which held electric cabling for heated rear windows and central locking, these over time break down and cause intermittent central locking on the rear doors, this has been addressed on the 2015 model and is no longer a problem.
- Driving position best in class, Great cabin layout, Super fuel economy , Load hight, External look
- Handbrake on wrong side of seat
Side mirrors are very good and make for safe lane transitions covering blind spots well.
After 75,000km I have had no issues. I drive mostly in semi auto, lifting off the throttle momentarily as it helps shift smoother.
Load space is awesome with plenty of room for pallet loads and long lengths. Head hight is perfect in the high roof LWB, at 6 foot my head is well clear. Cabin noise is well suppressed allowing for easy conversation at speeds of 100kph, radio and display work well and are nice to operate as is the hands free operation on the steering wheel.
Reverse sensor combined with optional reverse camera work well making reversing and parking easy. I plywood lined the load area out which is not difficult and will prevent damage to The panels if a load comes away, not that it should as there are ample tying ring points all around the load interior.
Overall one of the best vans in the class!
