2015 Kia Cerato S Premium Review
My Kia Cerato S Premium is incredible value for money over local and European imported competitors.
Handling may not compare to the class leading brands but its a safe and reliable car with good looks which are better that most of the Japanese equivalent models.
I only drive European cars but was forced to use this model as a company city commuter. It was a surprise! !!
When seated inside you feel that this is a modern spaciously designed vehicle.
I don't mind the jelly bean rounded edge styling its contemporary and should date slowly. Controls are clear and easy to access and use, the hard plastic look feel could be better finished with a padded style soft texture with more fabric inserts on the door ...Ride and handing not the best in class but adequate and safe. High speed stability on rough roads show the differences to premium vehicles.
You get what you pay for in the end ...
Finish of materials is cheap on the interior the external paint finish is good fit of panels lights grill etc is good. I was disappointed with the fuel economy but this might require the vechicle to be run in over the next six months..
I was surprised at the dramatic improvement Kia designs have made in such a short time, perhaps they have used German design engineering teams to fast track them ahead of the Japanese rivals.
Korean cars overall have given the Australian market value for money alternatives and perhaps sealed the fate for the local car industry.
I would consider purchasing a Kia as a second car for the kids over a second hand in efficient older model.
