2015 Mazda 3 Sp25 Review
Mazda SP25 6 Speed Manual Sedan - This is the best small car I have owned.
- Strong torquey engine, First class gear box, Superb ride and handling set up, Very comfortable and roomy front seat accomodation, Sharp looks - particularly the sedan
- Rear seat accomadation is adeaquate, Servicing a little expensive at a capped $370 per service
It actually feels like a larger car and in sedan guise, is sometimes difficult to tell apart from its larger cousin, the Mazda 6. This car is an ideal all rounder, the 2.5 litre engine pulls strongly from lower gears, in fact a lot of driving from left and right turns into side streets can be achieved in third gear. On the open road, this car has some serious get up and go when stirred along with one of the best manual gear boxes in the business.
Short notchy throws, drop it back to third, plant the foot and it just goes ! Its power to weight is its secret at 110.8 W/Kg and with sure footed handling on 18 inch wheels shod with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tyres, this car has the ideal combination of power and handling for its price point. Every time I drive this car, it puts a smile on my face. The MZD Connect infotainment system is near perfect and has an incredibly intuitive interface controlled by either touch screen (when vehicle stationary) or with the BMW inspired i-drive control wheel (when vehicle in motion).
The phone connectivity and integration is first class, as is the text to voice feature for SMS. To top all of this off, you get Mazda build quality, reliability and longevity thrown into the package, Mazda, Subaru and Toyota - you just cant go wrong. If your looking for the maximum bang for your buck - look no further than the Mazda SP25 Sedan or Hatch.
