Although the X-Trail has several good features I'd urge anybody who has never driven a CVT automatic to undertake a (lengthy if possible) test drive prior to purchase. I thought that I would become used to it, however after six months this is not the case.

The car also has very poor towing ability, and fuel economy goes out the door when any load is applied.

On a brighter note, the car is extremely comfortable with a great set of features. There is substantial interior space and we've found it incredibly versatile for anything from city driving to gathering items for the household.
