As yet, the production line hasn’t really seen the makings of a high performance version as Toyota and Subaru have instead decided that the 147kW/205Nm 2.0 litre flat four-cylinder engine is sufficient, along with the 86/BRZ’s other dynamics.
No doubt the sports coupe has struck a chord with enthusiasts so the old ‘not broken, don’t fix it’ argument will likely have been played out in the boardroom more than once.
