Subaru Australia has boosted supply of its BRZ sports coupe, securing around 130 units each month in February and March.
The news follows an announcement in November that Subaru's local arm was expecting a total of 140 BRZ coupes over the Feb-March period.
The increased supply - due largely to reduced Japanese-market demand for the Toyota 86 - will come as good news for buyers, cutting wait times on existing orders.
With around 515 orders currently held, Subaru expects to have the capacity to deliver up to 550 BRZ cars in Australia this year.
"We're delighted that Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) has recognized the enormous demand for BRZ in Australia and allocated additional production," Subaru Australia boss Nick Senior said.
Buyers leaning toward the BRZ's 86 twin aren't getting it much faster, with nearly 2400 units ordered since launch and a waiting period of around three to six months.
The BRZ has a drive-away price starting at $37,150 (depending on region), and is covered by a three-year/60,000 kilometre scheduled service plan.
