Skoda’s new Fabia has been declared the safest in its class by the Euro New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP), from all models tested during 2014.
While the Fabia is sold in Australia as a ‘light’ car, the model is tested as a ‘supermini’ under the European crash safety program.
And due to tougher minimum safety standards from Euro NCAP for 2014 year-model vehicles, the Fabia was the only supermini to achieve a 5-star safety rating from 14 models tested.
The orgnisation said the new Fabia impressed with high levels of occupant protection, including strong results for children up to three years and infants up to 18 months.
