New Maserati Quattroporte prices revealed

Italian luxury car maker details refreshed flagship sedan.

Maserati has unveiled cost and specifications for its updated Quattroporte sedan with prices starting from $210,000 before on-road costs.

The Italian car maker has given its four-door saloon a makeover inside and out, three and a half years after the current generation first went on sale.

Exterior design tweaks are highlighted by a new front and rear bumpers, a grille with chrome highlights from the Levante SUV, along with with matte black side skirts and exterior mirrors.

Maserati claims that a new Air Shutter system behind the grille, along with the new exterior touches, will help improve the car's aerodynamics and reduce drag by 10 per cent.

Maserati has redesigned the Quattroporte's centre console with the focus being the new 8.4-inch infotainment screen while also simplifying the layout by removing buttons.

The new infotainment system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring technology.

A new Air Quality Sensor prevents polluted air from entering the cabin while Maserati has also include standard safety technology such as auto emergency braking, lane departure warning and a surround view camera.

Maserati has also expanded its Quattroporte range with two new trim levels; GranLusso and GranSport, which are available on its entry-level, S and GTS variants.

The GranLusso models gain 20-inch alloy wheels with black brake calipers, Zegna Edition interior, wood trim, power rear sunshade, heated rear seats and ventilated front seats. The GTS variant also gains rear door keyless entry and a Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

The GranSport variants gain 21-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, black interior trim, stainless steel sport pedals, sport steering wheel, 12-way sports seats, Alcantara headlining, dual cast braking system and sport rear and front bumpers.

The model range kicks off with the Turbo Diesel variant that is priced from $210,000 before on road costs and is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 202kW and 600Nm.

Next up is the stand Quattroporte that is available in standard, GranLusso and GranSport spec and is priced at $215,000, $239,990 and $234,990 respectively. All these models are powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that is good for 257kW and 500Nm.

The Quattroporte S range is also available in the same three trim levels and is priced from $240,000 in standard guide and $279,990 and $274,990 in GranLusso and GranSport trim.

All S variants are powered by an uprated version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that pushes out 302kW and 550Nm.
