MG introduces capped-price servicing

A new fixed-price servicing model has been introduced by MG, with transparency for services up to seven years.

MG Motor Australia has announced the introduction of capped-price servicing.

MG buyers will now know how much they'll be spending on the first seven dealership services, under the brand's new 'Precise Price Servicing' program.

The new capped-price servicing compliments the car maker's seven-year/unlimited-kilometre factory warranty for all new MG models.

"In a market where customers are becoming increasingly aware of their finances, providing transparency on the final cost customers will pay for servicing is very important," said MG Australia boss Peter Ciao.

"Launching our Precise Price Servicing initiative is another step towards ensuring our customers have complete peace of mind when they join the MG family."

But as with similar capped-price service models offered from other car companies, MG says the pricing is subject to change – meaning the price quoted now may be different by the time your car is ready for its final fixed-price service in seven years.

Currently, the MG 3 has services listed from $243 to $330, while the most expensive service for the MG ZS costs $526 for a 1.0-litre model, or $343 for a 1.5-litre variant.

Services for the MG ZST are priced from $253 to $461 for the 1.3-litre, or $250 to $413 for the 1.5-litre.

All but one interval for Australia's cheapest electric car, the MG ZS EV, costs $268, with its 96 month/80,000km service costing $807.

The MG HS 1.5-litre costs between $253 and $461 to get serviced, while the 2.0-litre model costs up to $413.

Finally, the MG HS PHEV, which costs from $265 to get serviced, up to $968 for its 72 month/60,000km service.

It's worth noting these prices only cover predetermined manufacturer log-book services, and do not include parts and labour if your vehicle requires additional maintenance (such as brakes and wiper blades, for example).
