Mercedes-AMG One hypercar already listed for sale

Proving that nothing is unbuyable, one of the sold-out, limited-production Mercedes-AMG One hypercars has been listed for sale.

The car, with just 33km showing on the odometer, is advertised at the exclusive First Motors exotic car dealership in Dubai. The black hypercar is listed for a rather spendy AED 17,900,000 ($AU7.5 million).

Limited to just 275 examples (despite claims of over 1000 expressions of interest), the Mercedes-AMG One is positioned as the first-ever road-legal Formula One car.

For new buyers, the AMG One was priced from $US2.72 million ($AU4.2 million) before options and taxes, signifying a near 80 per cent markup on the First Motors car.

Power comes from the combination of a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 that delivers up to 422kW to the rear wheels (with a 11,000rpm redline), and a complex array of four electric motors that produce an additional 360kW (to the front wheels) for a total output of 782kW.

The AMG One has a seven-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission to operate the all-wheel-drive powertrain.

Weighing in at 1695kg, the hypercar is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, to 200km/h in 7 seconds on to a 325km/h top speed.

During testing in late 2022, Mercedes-Benz test driver Maro Engel completed a lap of the Nurburgring in 6m 35.183sec, setting a record for the fastest road-legal production vehicle.

The black Mercedes-AMG One in Dubai isn't the only example on the market either, with a silver car currently advertised in Germany for €4.4 million ($AU7.3 million) and another in Monaco for a contextually 'affordable' €3.75 million ($AU6.2 million).
