Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce roadster outed
Photos that are claimed to be of the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce roadster have been posted online.
Overnight, automotive and fashion photographer Jordan Shiraki posted on his website a set of studio photos that he claims are of the recently announced Aventador SV roadster.
Shiraki claims that the SV roadster will weigh 1575 kilograms - just under 50kg more than its coupe sibling - with the removable carbon roof tipping the scales at about six kilograms.
Both the Superveloce coupe and roadster are powered by a version of the company's 6.5-litre V12, which has been retuned to produce 552kW of power. All that fury is sent to the ground via all four wheels and a seven-speed automated manual transmission.
The coupe is good for a 0-100km/h time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed in excess of 350km/h.
Just over a week ago, Lamborghini officially confirmed that it would make a roadster version of the Aventador Superveloce.
Production of the roadster will be limited to 500 copies, with the company's planned run of 600 coupes are already all spoken for.
Lamborghini Australia has confirmed that the Aventador Superveloce roadster is available for order in Australia at a price of $916,150 before dealer and statutory charges. Local deliveries of the SV roadster are expected to begin in 2016.
