Jaguar F-Pace SVR revealed
British brand reveals new high-performance SUV.
Jaguar has supercharged its flagship SUV.
The British brand's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) department has worked its magic on the brand's F-Pace SUV adding a big donk and other performance-orientated gear.
Headlining the SVR is the addition of the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine that makes 404kW and 680Nm and is matched to an eight-speed automatic that drives all four wheels.
The Jaguar can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 283km/h.
To go with the extra grunt, Jaguar has added a range of aerodynamic features including larger air intake vents that help to reduce lift while a rear spoiler and revised bumper smooth airflow at the back of the vehicle.
Riding on 21-inch light alloy wheels, buyers also have the option of upgrading to massive 22-inch rims – both of which hold uprated brakes.
Additionally Jaguar has kitted out the hot SUV with a rear electronic active differential that delivers torque on demand to each wheel for sharper handling, combining with adaptive suspension and dynamic driving modes that features faster gear shifts, a sharper throttle and increased steering response.
Slimline performance front seats with SVR logos on the headrest and a SVR branded steering wheel with paddle shifters round out the F-Pace's sporty interior touches.
Jaguar's F-Pace SVR most likely also previews the upcoming Range Rover Velar SVR which will sit below the 423kW/700Nm Range Rover Sport SVR.
Local pricing will be announced closer to the vehicle's launch date in the middle of this year, but expect it to come at a significant premium to the current range-topping all-wheel drive Jaguar F-Pace S which is priced just over $100,000 before on-road costs.
