Ferrari releases outback tribute

Short film features California T convertible in Broken Hill.

Ferrari has released a short film that pays tribute to the beauty of the Australian outback.

Part of an international series starring the California T, Night Into Day depicts the brand's classically-styled convertible in Sydney and the bush.

Shot near Broken Hill by an Australian ream led by Benjamin Gartland, the minute-long production is the result of several months' work.

Broken Hill mayor Darriea Turley says she is "absolutely thrilled by the outcome".

"Broken Hill has exceptional beauty and that's something the Australian team was able to capture in their imagery," she says.

"This will have a global impact on our image."

Ferrari Australasia chief executive Herbert Appleroth says the work highlights the diverse array of Australia's driving environments.
