Aston Martin offers grille update to Vantage customers

If you want your old Aston Martin to look like a newer one, the British sports-car brand has just the solution.

British sports-car specialist Aston Martin is now offering customers the chance to update older models to look like new ones.

In the case of the Aston Martin Vantage sports car, all models manufactured until October 2021 were built with the open-styled 'Hunter' grille, as pictured above in green.

For model-year 2022 (vehicles built after October 2021), Aston Martin switched back to a more traditional-looking 'Vane' grille as standard – following its introduction in 2020 as an option – as pictured above in blue. However, the Hunter design can be optioned back onto the vehicle by the customer.

For a fee, customers in the United Kingdom and North America can pay to have the front fascia, front spolier, and related parts associated with the Vane grille fitted retrospectively to their old model with the Hunter grille.

Road and Track magazine in the US reports Aston Martin reverted to its usual design themes (as seen with the Vane) because customers "preferred a softer, more refined, or more traditional front-end choice that closer resembled what one might find on the DB11, in comparison to the standard, more aggressive, muscular Vantage [Hunter grille] design."

Drive contacted Aston Martin's local representatives, who confirmed "grille update kits" are now available at Aston Martin dealerships in both Australia and New Zealand.
