- She says, he says: Alfa Romeo Giulietta Progression
Alfa Romeo has paid tribute to a 60 year-old classic by reintroducing the Giulietta Sprint locally.
The Italian brand says the new Giulietta Sprint has the style and brio to carry a badge associated with elegant looks and sporty dynamics.
Based on the entry-level Giulietta progression, the Sprint offers improved performance thanks to a turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that makes 110kW and 250Nm – well more than the 88kW and 215Nm offered by the standard car.
Alfa Romeo says that's enough for the car to reach 0-100km/h in 8.2 seconds while using 5.7L/100km of fuel.
Priced from $31,000 plus on-road costs - $2000 more than the Progression – the Giulietta Sprint also features 17-inch alloy wheels, a sportier steering wheel and seats, special badges and a faux carbon fibre effect for the doors and dash.
The new Giulietta Sprint is on sale now.
