2024 Hyundai Staria Load price discounted, healthy stock to rival Toyota HiAce

Hyundai Australia has temporarily slashed the drive-away price of its commercial van offering in an effort to draw buyers away from Toyota.

A new national drive-away price and increased stock of the 2024 Hyundai Staria Load van has been announced – taking aim at the segment leading Toyota HiAce, which continues to be hit by long wait times.

The Staria Load, which first came to market in 2022 to replace Hyundai's ageing iLoad van, will now set buyers back $49,490 drive-away – $1391 less in Victoria or $1279 less in New South Wales than before when factoring in on-road costs.

However, the offer is only temporary – expiring on 30 April 2024 – and only applies to the base-model two-seater, with the five-seat Crew and top-of-the-range two-seat Premium unaffected.

Hyundai is also knocking 10 per cent off its accessory packs for the Staria Load for a limited time only.

The South Korean marque said it has been “working hard” to secure a steady supply of Staria Load, and now has a good volume of stock across the country – as well as a “healthy production pipeline”.

That number, according to Hyundai Australia, includes 944 vehicles at dealerships nationwide, 210 at port, and 689 en route to our shores from the company’s plant in South Korea.

In contrast, wait times for its key competitor – the Toyota HiAce – are lengthy, currently thought to stretch out to as much as 193 days, according to Price My Car data.

However, earlier this month, Toyota told Drive wait times for the HiAce, and other popular non-hybrid models such as the LandCruiser 70 Series, LandCruiser 300 Series and Fortune were improving.

2024 Hyundai Staria-Load pricing

  • Two-seater van (Lift Back or Twin Swing) – $49,490 drive-away
  • Five-seater Crew (Lift Back or Twin Swing) – $54,885 drive-away
  • Two-seater Premium (Lift Back only) – $56,035 drive-away
