2024 Hyundai Santa Fe interior caught on camera

Weeks after Hyundai dealers in Australia were given a sneak peek of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe behind closed doors, spy photos of the interior have emerged online.

Images posted to South Korean social media website Bobaedream show Hyundai has doubled down with a major styling makeover for the next-generation Santa Fe, which appears to be inspired by the latest Land Rover Defender – inside and out.

The steering wheel – which appears to be reminiscent of Range Rovers of the recent past – is positioned ahead of a curved floating double-wide screen, which combines both the driver's digital instrument cluster and the car's infotainment display.

The interior also appears to have air-conditioning vents that extend across the dashboard, with a number of switches and buttons below on the centre console.

There also appears to be a touch screen for the dual-zone climate control located between two dials on the centre console.

Apparently borrowing some of its design flare from the recently-unveiled Hyundai Grandeur flagship sedan, the Santa Fe SUV appears to be embracing a utilitarian look similar to serious off-roaders such as the Land Rover Defender.

Spy photos of a heavily-camouflaged prototype published in October 2022 (pictured below) show the Santa Fe could adopt H-shape daytime running lights up front and LED tail-lights.

The silhouette of the new Hyundai Santa Fe's body – with a white roof and dark window frames to contrast the rest of the paintwork – and wheel designs also appear to echo the Land Rover Defender.

The Santa Fe's new body is also believed to be increasing in size to further help distinguish it from the controversially-styled mid-size Hyundai Tucson.

It's expected the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will be unveiled in the coming months before going on sale next year.

Hyundai dealers who saw the vehicle during a special preview declined to go into details. However, the spy photos inside and out have provided a clearer picture of what to expect.
