2023 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Final Edition, C63 S Final Edition coupe and convertible announced, priced

Three Mercedes-AMG performance cars are farewelling the end of non-hybrid turbo V8 power with new special-edition models, available to order next month.

Mercedes-AMG is marking the end of non-hybrid V8 power in the C63 S and E63 S with a trio of special Final Edition models, available to order from next month.

The C63 S Coupe Final Edition, C63 S Cabriolet Final Edition and E63 S Sedan Final Edition are said to be the last of their kind before Mercedes-AMG introduces "a new generation of performance models utilising highly efficient powerplants inspired by Formula One technology," the company says.

The two-door C63 S siblings are slated to be replaced by a new CLE coupe and convertible range, available with the 500kW four-cylinder hybrid system from the new C63 S sedan – while the next E63 S is slated to adopt hybrid power in some form.

Compared to the cars they are based on, the Final Edition models cost $26,400 to $39,900 more – and are available to order from February 1.

All three vehicles will be available in "highly limited" numbers, though it's unclear exactly how many cars will come to Australia.

The C63 S Cabriolet Final Edition is priced from $239,000 plus on-road costs ($26,400 extra), and adds Graphite Grey matte paint, yellow and grey decals, an exterior carbon-fibre pack, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, and carbon-ceramic front brakes.

It also gains AMG Performance front seats, and AMG Performance steering wheel, grey and black nappa leather upholstery with yellow stitching, dark aluminium and matte carbon-fibre accents, and a Final Edition badge on the centre console.

The C63 S Coupe Final Edition – priced from $218,400 plus on-road costs, a $28,400 premium – includes all of the Cabriolet's extras, plus the AMG Aerodynamics exterior package, and a Final Edition badge on the rear window pillars.

Meanwhile, the E63 S Final Edition sedan – which costs $311,900 plus on-road costs, or $39,900 more than the regular car – adds Graphite Grey exterior paint, silver side decals, the Exterior Carbon Package, 20-inch AMG alloy wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and adaptive LED headlights.

It also scores AMG Performance front seats, a leather and Dinamica suede AMG Performance steering wheel, grey and black nappa leather seats with yellow stitching, carbon-fibre interior accents, Final Edition badging on the centre console, and an AMG badge on the rear window pillars.

The Driver Assistance Package is also standard, along with an augmented-reality overlay for the satellite navigation system.

All of the vehicles are unchanged below the skin, meaning 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8s developing 375kW/700Nm in the rear-wheel-drive C63 S, and 450kW/850Nm in the all-wheel-drive E63 S.

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe Final Edition, C63 S Cabriolet Final Edition and E63 S Sedan Final Edition are available to order from February 1.
