2022 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo electric wagon arrives in Australia
Customer deliveries for the electric Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo are due to start next month.
The first examples of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo electric wagon have arrived in Australia, with customer deliveries due to commence in the coming weeks.
The high-riding wagon twin to the Porsche Taycan electric sedan – which went on sale locally in March 2021 – is available in three model grades priced from $176,600 to $279,000 plus on-road costs.
An example was photographed at the Porsche Centre Sydney South late last week; Drive understands others have been delivered to Porsche dealerships in Melbourne.
While Porsche is new to the electric-car market, its first two models appear to have found instant appeal among buyers, with both the sedan and wagon versions of the Taycan reportedly sold out for months.
The arrival of Porsche and other car makers into the luxury electric vehicle space is likely to put US brand Tesla on notice to improve its build quality.
Tesla cars are renowned for having class-leading battery technology and performance, however the company has struggled at times with patchy build quality.
