Meanwhile, the flagship Ti-L variant is now priced from $94,115 before on-road costs, up from $93,365. This represents an increase of $749.
“The change is due to external factors,” a spokesperson for Nissan Australia told Drive.
The Nissan Patrol – now in its sixth generation – has been sold locally since 1960, and is the only direct competitor to the Toyota LandCruiser in the ‘SUV Upper Large below $100,000’ segment.
A 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine sends 298kW/560Nm to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission, allowing the 0-100km/h sprint to be completed in a claimed 6.6 seconds.
An all-new model is rumored to be under development, and expected to be launched in the next few years. However, details are so far thin on the ground.
