2016 Honda HR-V LE, City LE on sale in Australia: Tweaked styling and more kit for new limited editions
Honda has added two limited-edition ‘LE’ models to its 2016 line-up, the HR-V LE and City LE.
The company says both models add over $3000 worth of equipment for a nominal price increase over their base cars.
Honda’s top-selling model, the HR-V, has once again received the Limited Edition treatment with $3200 worth of additional features over the base VTi variant for a $1500 premium.
Key features of the HR-V LE include 17-inch alloy wheels, side steps, rear parking sensors, front fog lights and a ‘Limited Edition’ badge.
Mechanically, the HR-V LE is unchanged from the regular range, which is powered by a 105kW/172Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine matched to a continuously-variable transmission (CVT).
The 2016 Honda HR-V LE is available now for $28,490 drive-away, with metallic or pearlescent paint costing an additional $575.
Honda has added even more value to the City LE (above), which sees the inclusion of an extra $4000 worth of features over the VTi-L automatic variant.
The City LE scores a Modulo Sports Pack which includes sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a rear wing spoiler, along with a sports grille, rear-parking sensors, a ‘Limited Edition’ badge and metallic paint as standard.
Otherwise the City LE retains the 88kW/145Nm 1.5-litre four-pot petrol that powers the rest of the small sedan range.
Starting at $22,990 plus on-road costs, the 2016 Honda City LE is also available to order now.
Last year Honda released ‘Limited Edition’ versions of both the HR-V and City, however the 2015 HR-V Limited Edition was based on the mid-spec VTi-S variant while the 2015 City Limited Edition used the entry-level VTi grade as its donor car.
