Land Rover’s ultra-luxury Range Rover Sport line has been enhanced for Australia this week with the arrival of new options for 2015.
The new model year upgrades follow the all-new RR Sport’s Australian debut back in June.
For 2015, the price of entry into the RR Sport range slips below the existing $102,800 TDV6 SE, with the introduction of the new TDV6 S model.
There’s also a new diesel-electric hybrid model and nearly $7000 in new standard kit for the SE, HSE and HSE Dynamic trim grades.
TDV6 S
Available from December, the $92,600 TDV6 S is driven by the same 190kW/600Nm 3.0 litre offered with the SE, with fuel use listed at 7.3 l/100km.
Standout features with the TDV6 S include 19-inch alloy wheels, harddisk-equipped satellite navigation with audio server and voice control, 250W eight-speaker audio, reversing camera with on-screen guides and a ‘hitch assist’ function, and 6/4-way seats with height adjustment.
Four-corner air suspension and the Terrain Response driving modes system is also featured with the TDV6 S model.
LR-SDV6 3.0 Diesel Hybrid
The RR Sport’s full parallel hybrid system, revealed in August last year as part of a London to India trek, is now available for order in Australia.
Pairing Land Rover’s 215kW 3.0 litre diesel engine with a 35kW/175Nm, the LR-SDV6 Diesel Hybrid promises a combined 250kW and 700Nm of torque.
That’s matched to an eight-speed auto, delivering official fuel consumption figures of just 6.4 l/100km. CO2 emissions are listed at 169g/km.
