2013-2019 Chrysler 300, Jeep Grand Cherokee recalled due to engine sensor fault

The fault could cause a sudden loss of engine power, according to the manufacturer.

Fiat Chrysler Australia has recalled 11,632 examples of the 2013-2019 Chrysler 300 sedan and 2013-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, due to a potentially faulty engine electrical sensor.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says the crankshaft sensor could fail and "may result in an engine stall (loss of engine power), as well as loss of the ability to restart the engine".
