Nissan Australia has today announced that its updated-for-2012 Murano SUV will hit local showrooms in September, bringing with it a number of styling and equipment updates.
The news follows the updated Murano's international unveiling in August last year - including the launch of a new diesel model for European markets.
For Australia, Nissan's trusty VQ35DE 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine continues service under the bonnet of the Murano range, producing a very respectable 191kW and 336Nm of torque.
Power is transferred through Nissan's Xtronic continuously variable auto-transmission (CVT). Average fuel consumption is listed at a claimed 10.9 l/100km.
Styling updates for the 2012 model year include a revised grille and headlight design, along with a new front bumper, restyled tail-lights and a new roof-rail design.
There's also new multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass. Both the entry-level ST and the top-shelf Ti now get rain-sensing wipers.
The ST picks up a Bose audo system with a 2gb music storage hard-drive and a seven-inch colour display, along with a reversing camera and heated front seats. The ST also gets fog lamps as standard.
The range-topping Ti adds Nissan's new satellite navigation system, USB and iPod connectivity and a 9gb music storage hard-drive.

- 2012 Nissan Murano Ti - $58,390 (up $500)
