WITH MORE IMAGES of the 2010 BMW X1 surfacing online, anticipation for BMW’s small new CUV is growing stronger. Now, BMW has offered up video of the X1 kicking it around gravel tracks, twisty roads and dirty mountain passes.
Filmed in Mallorca, Spain, the promotional video features BMW’s now famous psychedelic swirl camouflage patterns covering the important parts of the X1 (but being a simple vinyl overlay, the details are there for the eagle-eyed).
The BMW X1 is expected to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, with a European showroom launch due in time for the 2010 model range. Australian deliveries are slated to begin in early 2010.
We’re looking at the first quarter of 2010,” said Tim James, Product Communications Manager at BMW Australia.
“Engine configurations aren’t confirmed for our market yet, but it is likely that we’ll go with a 2 litre diesel and then a new four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel as well.
“Auto and manual should be available, but we haven’t knocked out the final details.”
Living up to the ‘Joy Is What You Make Of It’ tag line, the BMW X1 is given a real workout in this official video, demonstrating that driving pleasure remains the number one priority at BMW.
