2008 Mazda 6 Classic Sports Review

I purchased this 2007 model Mazda 6 Classic Sports as a used car from Dwyers Mazda, Wollongong NSW. The Classic Sports replaced the Luxury Sports model in mid-2007, before an new-generation model arrived in 2008, and offered the same top-of-the-range features including 17 inch alloys, full body kit, rear spoiler, leather interior, power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, sunroof and a seven-speaker 200W BOSE audio system with subwoofer...

2004 Mazda 6 Classic Review

Puchased new in Sept 2004 Mileage 136000 kms Ultra reliable - serviced every 6 months since new by Australian Motors - rear tailgate struts had to be regassed at 128200 kms and front lower control arm bushes needed attention - apart from that general maintenance costs Quiet smooth comfortable good handling ride on Bridgestone Ecopia EP100 - quieter than wifes 2012 Mazda 3 Maxx Sport but they have original Toyos Good performance but runs on Premium Unleaded Practical good size boot and will take fully assembled adult bike with back seat down, Looking at market now but new Mazda 6 seems too large, VW Passat Wagon but worried about reliability, Audi A5 Hatch again reliability issues, seems too big and vision problems...

2008 Mazda 6 Luxury Sports Review

The 2008 Mazda6 Luxury Sports is a fantastic looking mid-sizer, just like the model it succeeded. Being so good looking, in fact has made it just that tiny bit easier to forgive some of the foibles with everyday ownership of the 6. For some perspective, I came out of the Fiesta ST (recent review here also) and purchased the 6 off a family member who has owned it since new...

2013 Mazda 6 Sport Review

Just a disclaimer before I start: I'm actually an L-Plater, and I'm writing about the car which belongs to my parents. Still, I've driven it long enough to feel compelled to write a review about it. We bought the 2013 Mazda 6 wagon last year after 7 years with 2 Hyundai's. We bought the car after much deliberation and much research...

2013 Mazda 6 Sport Review

Have owned the Mazda for 6 months and overall happy with the car.I do get a lot of comments on how good the car looks (driver doesn't get the same), ON the fuel use age I am getting 7.2 combined, might be a bit of a worry if only metro driving. Mid range power 3 / 4 gear is great goes like a rocket and a nice tune from the engine 1st gear on the other hand is loud and a bit slow...

2008 MAZDA6 LIMITED Review

My Mazda 6 limited, 6 sp manual sedan is a great all rounder with few comprimizes and represents the best value in the 6 line up. It presents as a roomy family sedan that drives smoothly with little noise intrusion and decent fuel economy and range. Driven with verve it eggs you on with very surefooted, confidence-inspiring handling with a touch of sportiness to the engine/exhaust note, aided by a tactile accurate clutch/gearshift action...

2005 MAZDA6 LIMITED Review

I love and hate my Mazda, it’s a weird relationship. On the daily grind, in traffic and over rough roads, we don’t get along. The harsh ride and noisy interior, coupled with the extremely light steering, make me feel like I’m driving a billy cart. The brakes are exceptional, however once at a complete stop the most irritating problem of the car presents itself...

2009 MAZDA6 DIESEL Review

I have been particularly impressed by the magnificent torquey 2.2-litre diesel. The motor is available in a number of models including Mazda3 and CX-7. The 6 speed manual gearbox is a delight to use across the range. 1st gear is fairly low ratio but is well suited to some modest towing demands. I am looking forward to driving the new CX-5 when it arrives soon...
