Is Mini German or British?

While Mini is owned by German automaker, BMW, it still has ties to its British heritage with its largest plant based in Oxford, England. However, not all vehicles are built there, with some assembled in the city of Born in the Netherlands and in a factory in Graz, Austria.

Mini cars are notorious for including various design elements that nod to its British roots, such as Union Jack tail-lights and badging throughout.

How many Mini Electrics have been sold this year?

So far Mini has sold 188 of its 3-door Hatches in 2022; however, the data doesn't split electric and ICE models, so there is no way of reporting solely on the Mini Electric.

Is the Mini Electric safe?

The Mini 3-door Hatch hasn't been tested since 2014, when it received a four-star ANCAP safety rating. During testing, the vehicle failed to meet the minimum threshold in the side impact test to score for a five-star rating.

Standard safety features in the Mini Electric include AEB (city) with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop/go, lane-departure warning, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.
