NanoFlowcell Quantino: production-bound EV heading for Geneva

Liechtenstein-based electric vehicle company NanoFlowcell is set to debut an almost production-ready variant of its Quant series vehicle, the new Quantino, at next month's Geneva motor show. The all-electric Quantino will be displayed in a 'near standard' configuration in Geneva, ahead of final pre-production tests through the first half of 2016. A small production run is then expected later this year.

Skoda VisionS SUV concept teased, new design language promised

A first preview of the first-ever seven-seat Skoda SUV has been handed down today, ahead of a debut set for March’s Geneva motor show. Skoda has long been expected to add an extra-large high-riding wagon to its range, with reports of a so-called ‘Snowman’ and, more recently, ‘Kodiak’ SUV model reaching back to early 2014.

Genesis rules out smaller luxury car

If you want a Hyundai hatchback with all the bells and whistles, you’ll buy a Hyundai hatchback with all the bells and whistles – that's the message from the company’s luxury arm Genesis, which will not reach down to the small car segment. Hyundai Motor America president and chief executive officer Dave Zuchowski made the brand’s intentions clear – for America, at least – in an interview with Australian media at the 2016 Detroit auto show.

2016 Honda Ridgeline unibody ute debuts in Detroit

The second-generation Honda Ridgeline ute has made its debut at the 2016 Detroit auto show sporting a much more conservative and traditional design than the original. As with the original Ridgeline, the new model eschews the body-on-frame construction of its mid-size rivals in the States, using a unibody platform that seems to be shared largely with the latest-generation Pilot SUV.
