BAIC electric supercar leaked, details emerge

Chinese manufacturer Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC) is understood to be working on a new electric supercar to take on the world’s elite, after images were leaked online this week. Although no official details have been released, reports claim that the Chinese automotive giant’s zero-emissions supercar will be capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in under three seconds and hit a top speed of 260km/h.

First Jaguar EV due within the next two years - report

British luxury brand Jaguar is reportedly working to have at least one form of electric powertrain on the market by 2018, according to a new report this week. With its new-generation model onslaught in full swing, including the F-Type, XE, XF, and the soon-to-be-released F-Pace SUV, Jaguar is now reportedly less than two years away from offering its first green car.

Mitsubishi will offer a trio of all-new or new-generation crossover SUVs before 2020, comprising a shrunken next ASX, a larger next Outlander and a brand new model sandwiched in between. Subaru refutes mid-engined sports car rumour, but confirms new BRZ desire

Subaru has rebuffed rumours out of the US that it is secretly working on a special mid-engined sports coupe prototype. As we recently noted, a report from US publication Car & Driver, citing a Subaru source, claimed it was testing a new Boxer mid-engined turbocharged prototype model, with two electric motors powering the front wheels and the engine powering the rears.
