2017 Renault Zoe removes last "psychological barrier" to electric vehicles

Renault's all-electric city car, the Renault Zoe, has been relaunched at the Paris motor show with double its range, thanks to a newly developed 'ZE.40' battery. The new unit has added 200km to the Zoe's range, meaning it now has a total range of 400km. But don't expect it to hit Australian roads any time soon. Renault is claiming a realistic daily city driving range of 300km for what is the best-selling electric vehicle in Europe.

Kia GT Stinger RWD sedan set for 2017, green light for Australia

CarAdvice believes the highly-anticipated Kia GT is set to be unveiled early next year, with the most likely candidate being either January’s Detroit motor show or Geneva in March, with Kia Australia all but confirmed that it will take the brand’s first rear-wheel drive car. The Kia GT, or GT Stinger, depending on what it will be called, will be offered with a choice of four- and six-cylinder turbocharged engines, with pricing expected to be from $40,000 to $50,000 across the range.

Mercedes-AMG hypercar confirmed: hybrid drivetrain, F1 technology to feature

The rumoured Mercedes-AMG hypercar has been confirmed today during the company’s press conference at the Paris motor show. Previewed by a sketch of its silhouette (a-la Aston Martin AM-RB001), the new hypercar will be an ‘AMG Performance Hybrid’ featuring drivetrain technology from the company’s Formula One car.
