1999 BMW 735i: Owner review
Owner Review | 3 May 2019
I bought this beautiful 1999 7 series for only $8000 has only done 138,000km on it, was originally looking for a luxury car as a 2nd car and found this and never regret it will hold on until as long as I can. When I told some people I have bought a 7 series their jaws dropped saying what a 7 series? Was there reaction haha. Styling: the styling is beautiful and timeless machine bit of half classic half modern in my opinion, a very rare car on the road have only ever seen 2 in this shape, it is in immaculate condition has been so very well looked after by previous owner has turned some heads that’s for sure. Handling: it handles really good for a large luxury car but it isn’t a sports car after all Performance: it has a beautiful and one of the quietest V8’s around not a fast V8 compared to today’s cars but still has plenty of power and torque, on highways it is an effortless cruiser and going up Hills is not a problem at all, it has a 5 speed auto tiptronic so you can change gears yourself and also sports mode Features and technology: the 7 series blew me away with features it had in it that I didn’t even know existed in 1999 it still has the original phone that doesn’t work but love it for show and also has a TV that doesn’t work either, Sat Nav still works, sun shade for the rear window, auto climate control, sunroof, leather seats, wood grain interior electric seats, windows, steering wheel, mirrors and cruise control and parking sensors and many other features too long a list Fuel: not sure how many litres per 100 but it’s showing 11.4 per 100km on my screen have had it down to 10.2, I drive in urban area and a bit of highway driving, if driving in the city you will likely see about 14-15 per 100km depending on how you drive and conditions Reliability: it has been pretty good so far bought it with 131,000km and now done 138,000km and so far had a service getting brakes done in 2 weeks and has a little oil leak have been to 2 mechanics so far both have said nothing major and one can’t find where it is leaking no from so as long as nothing major is a plus for now Overall this is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever owned and probably BMW’s best and a truely amazing car to drive and one of the most comfortable cars ever, has a timeless look to it, my friend and family love it one friend has photos and the other says let’s go for a drive in your BMW haha, so far has been reliable has a little oil leak but mechanic said nothing major so that is good for now, I also have a 2013 Toyota Corolla and I drive my 1999 BMW 7 series pretty much more than my Corolla, I certainly will be keeping this for as long as I can and if I ever have to sell it I will get either a newer 7 series maybe a 745i or a 335i, well done BMW on an amazing car, I’m hopeless at doing reviews but I’m sure I have covered most of it anyway
2002 BMW 7 Series Review

When the words, BMW and 7 series are mentioned in the same sentence, two things normally come to mind to most that have seen, but never owned one. Luxurious and technological advanced.
