ABN holders will be able to order the Farm Mate as both a single cab and space cab, although production will be limited to less than 100 and availability based on supply.
On top of the standard D-MAX EX single cab/SX space cab one-tonne 4x4, the Farm Mate package adds: fully galvanised steel-bodied dropside tray body, with tubular headboard and stirrups, cab rear window mesh guard, chequerplate floor and taillight guards; steel bull bar powder-coated in satin black; tow bar kit with wiring to a seven-pin flat plug, square section removable tongue, tow ball and D-shackles; and Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity.
Farm Mate models come standard with air-conditioning, rear LSD, dual airbags and CD/MP3 audio. The space cab variant adds ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), power windows, remote entry door locks, cruise control, front bucket seats, rear window demister and door protection strips.
Both models have a combined cycle fuel consumption rating of 8.1 litres/100km and claim to have the longest tray load floor length from cab to axle among conventional-cab one-tonners.
Powered by a 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel, the D-MAX produces 120kW and 360Nm of torque when teamed with the five-speed manual transmission.
The 2011 D-MAX Farm Mate single cab is available for $33,990 driveaway and the D-MAX Farm Mate space cab is $39,490 driveaway.
