Alfa Romeo has revealed the Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition, a limited-run flagship priced from $143,900 before on-road costs.
Just 20 examples will be made for Australia, all finished in a choice of Trofeo White or Competitzione Red on the outside. A dark finish for the 19-inch alloy wheels is also standard, along with genuine carbon-fibre finishes for the grille, exterior mirrors, front door sills and the gearshift.
Alfa Romeo says there's $8500 worth of extra kit on board, all for the same entry price as the 'regular' Quadrifoglio. Power comes from the same 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbo engine making 375kW and 600Nm, put to the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The 0-100km/h sprint takes a claimed 3.9 seconds, and you'll be doing 307km/h flat out. Alfa isn't claiming any performance enhancements from the carbon add-ons.
“The new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition blends the same highly acclaimed driving dynamics, technologies, lightness and efficiency with new distinctive styling features to accentuate its dynamic performance and design,” said Fulvio Antonelli, head of Alfa Romeo brand.
“The Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition brings something fresh, unique and exhilarating to the premium sports sedan market in an exciting year for the brand in Australia, spearheaded by the launch of the all-new Stelvio SUV."
