Koenigsegg, Swedish maker of wild hypercars like the Regera (above), has announced it will open its first factory-backed dealership in Australia later this year.
Scheduled to launch in June, the company confirmed its vehicles will be available through Prodigy Automotive in conjunction with Lorbek Luxury Cars in Melbourne, Victoria.
The company's full range of models will be available to buyers in across the Australian and New Zealand markets, including the yet-to-be revealed replacement for the Agera RS hypercar – which will be launched at the 2019 Geneva motor show.
"[Our] collaboration with Lorbek Luxury Cars was a natural choice," the company said in its press release, "Lorbek Luxury Cars has world class facilities, a fantastic central location in what is soon to be Australia’s largest city, and decades of experience with exotic sports cars and the expectations of this owner group."
"Lorbek Luxury Cars will provide the perfect backdrop for the Koenigsegg brand."
Koenigsegg will kick off its residency Down Under with an "exclusive VIP launch" in June, which will be attended by the company's sales director, Andreas Petré.
Cheers to Jack for the tip!
