Dodge might have started the supernatural muscle car trend with its Challenger SRT Demon, but it’s been outdone by the hotted-up Hennessey Exorcist in our latest poll.
More than 1000 people voted in this week’s face-off, with 53 per cent of voters handing the Camaro-based Exorcist a narrow victory over its factory rival.
That finishing order would also be reflected in a side-by-side drag race: where the Dodge runs to 60mph (97km/h) in 2.3 seconds, hits 100mph (161km/h) in 5.1 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds, the Hennessey smashes the same milestones in 2.1 seconds, 4.7 seconds ands 9.57 seconds respectively.
Based on a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, the boosted Exorcist has a whopping 756kW and 1197Nm. The results are predictably impressive.
Further details about the new Toyota Corolla were announced last week. With a sharp new look, a range of Dynamic Force engines and snazzy interior, is it a match for the Golf?
