2015-16 Iveco Daily recalled for parking brake fixe

Iveco Trucks has issued a recall for its Daily vehicles sold during 2015 and 2016 over concerns the parking brake could fail.

According to the manufacturer, it is possible that the eyelet of the secondary cable of the parking brake may break.

If the condition occurs, the parking brake will not operate as intended and may cause the vehicle to roll away, potentially causing an accident.

Recalled Iveco Daily vehicles were sold from 1 September 2015 through 25 July 2016.

A VIN list can be viewed here.

Owners of the affected Dailys are advised to contact their nearest dealership who will conduct a visual inspection of the cables, and replace them if required.

Iveco also urges owners of potentially affected vehicles to ensure the handbrake is applied and automatic models are left in ‘park’, while manual vehicles should have first gear engaged before exiting the vehicle.
