A second version of the BMW Active Tourer Concept will be unveiled at a German Outdoor Show in July, the German car maker has announced.
BMW has yet to release more details or any images of the Active Tourer Outdoor Concept, saying that it will “meet the special needs of outdoor enthusiasts”.
The name suggests the second concept may be a mildly modified variation on the Active Tourer unveiled at the 2012 Paris motor show as a preview to BMW’s first ever range of front-wheel-drive vehicles.
The concept is expected to become the BMW 1 Series GT in production form.
The Paris show car featured a 1.5 litre three-cylinder turbo engine that will feature in a large range of compact BMWs as well as the next-generation Mini.
The BMW Active Tourer Outdoor Concept will be revealed on 12 July at the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen.
