The second-generation Audi Q7 is set to drop some 400kg according to reports, thanks to the increased use of aluminium in its construction. This could drastically improve the luxury SUV's fuel economy and performance.
Power is expected to come from a range of petrol and turbo-diesel engines, potentially including the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as seen in the new Audi S8 and the Bentley Continental GT.
A hybrid powertrain is also possible, assisting the new Q7 in reaching even greater fuel efficiency figures.
The new model is expected to be revealed some time towards the end of this year.
