Images of a new Citroen sedan have leaked after a video clip teasing the new vehicle was accidentally uploaded online.
The images – captured by Auto Motor Und Sport – reveal some the key design elements of the new small-medium sedan, which is reportedly called the Citroen ID.
The German website claims the ID will go on sale in 2013 as a cheaper, more basic model in the French brand’s line-up.
The sedan features Citroen’s traditional extended double chevron chrome grille, which is flanked by slim headlights, similar to the C4 hatch. Bold lines run along the profile and flow into the taillights. The boot lid has a prominent edge and a broad, vertical design, giving the rear end unique proportions.
The cabin appears simple and uncluttered, with a conventional dashboard and centre console layout and a basic flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Reports suggest the Citroen ID could debut at the 2012 Geneva motor show in March. Check out all the images by clicking the Gallery tab above.
