As previously reported, the Tornante will feature a 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 515kW of power. The engine will also be matched up to a TT40e sequential transmission with paddle shifters. Like the previous benchmark model, the Apollo, the Tornante will feature a fully-adjustable suspension package.
The body is said to be made almost entirely of carbon fibre which covers a steel chrome-molybdenum space-frame and carbon composite monocoque.
From the rear it appears Gumpert may have taken some inspiration in taillight design from the Bugatti Veyron, with its twin-ring LED arrangement.
It will be interesting to see what the new car looks like in full detail as this time the Gumpert will have a design language following a philosophy developed by Touring Superleggera - an Italian design studio. It's expected the car will not only be extremely fast but also nice to look at, unlike the somewhat ugly Gumpert Apollo.
