I have owned my Nissan Tiida for one and a half months after getting it for a very good price of $16,700 driveaway (thanks to a mistaken ad by a dealer).
With a 1.8-litre four-cylinder, the car feels just as powerful as my 2.4-litre four-cylinder automatic 2008 Toyota Camry, but it’s even better going uphills thanks to its six-speed manual gearbox. It’s also quieter when idling in neutral at red lights.
Despite having a cheap middle seatbelt and lacking stability and traction control, the lack of safety measures are not obvious so I still enjoy it.
The bad point of the Tiida is that the steering wheel vibrates suddenly at 110km/h. You feel a vibration and a sound sometimes comes from what sounds like a shock absorber or engine mount.
I strongly recommend the Tiida if you’re looking for a car at this price.
